ZED Silver Certification is the second level under the MSME Sustainable (ZED) Scheme. It recognizes MSMEs that have implemented structured quality management systems, strong process controls, and sustainable operational practices aligned with the Zero Defect • Zero Effect framework.
Any MSME with a valid UDYAM registration can apply. Typically, MSMEs that have already achieved ZED Bronze Certification or have established quality systems are best suited for the Silver level.
ZED Silver has more advanced requirements than Bronze. It focuses on measurable performance, stronger process control, improved documentation, and higher standards of quality, safety, and environmental compliance.
The timeline depends on the MSME’s readiness and documentation. With proper guidance and timely corrective actions, certification is usually completed within a few weeks to a few months.
